Bridgnorth Area Schools' Trust

Oldbury Wells School has established a new education Trust, which has been created to build on our current strengths and support schooling in Bridgnorth and the surrounding area.

The Bridgnorth Area Schools’ Trust was registered with Companies’ House in June and was formed on 1st July 2015.

In order to do this, Oldbury Wells School was first granted Multi Academy Trust status; Oldbury Wells is the founding and lead school in the new Trust.  This lead school status is granted to high performing schools with a good or better Ofsted rating.

The Bridgnorth area Schools' Trust is a family of four academies:  Oldbury Wells School; Alveley Primary school; Castlefields Primary School; St Leonards CofE Primary School.

For Governance documents (including: Funding agreement, Audited accounts with annual report, Articles of Association, Scheme of delegation and financial interests) see Link:  Policy and Compliance Alternative Area.

The Bridgnorth Area Schools' Trust aims:

BAST aims:

•To bring about the very best educational outcomes for all of our Academies’ students.
•To support and enrich education in our area.  As a Trust we are committed to local education.  Our aim is to help bring about the best learning for local pupils that we can, beyond our own schools' gates where that is appropriate.
•To further develop and strengthen partnerships to the benefit of the Trust, whilst enabling schools to develop and strengthen individuallykeeping their own unique characteristics.
•To recognise, support and promote the Christian distinctiveness of our Church Schools.
