Sport Relief Mile Challenge

Wednesday, April 13, 2016

On Friday 18th March, Oldbury Wells participated in the Sport Relief mile challenge. As this year the Olympics are being held in Rio all pupils took part throughout the day in fancy dress linked to the Olympics. Pupils were set the challenge of completing as many laps of the sports field in one hour in any way possible; the more creative the better. Some pupils played badminton, 'swam', boxed and karate chopped their way around the field.

It was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone got involved including Geography teacher Mr Thursfield who brought his sailing boat and dragged it around the field, and Ms Barlow who dressed up as a parrot! We would like to thank all pupils and staff for the huge effort they put into the day and for raising sponsor money for such a worthwhile cause.
